Islamabad: The Federal Finance Minister presented the budget for fiscal year 2026-27 in the National Assembly. This budget amounts to 9,800 billion rupees, making it the largest budget to date. More funds have been allocated for education, health, and infrastructure. According to the Finance Minister, the welfare of ordinary citizens has been given the highest priority in this budget. Relief will be seen in various sectors while government expenditure will be reduced. The opposition has criticized the proposed additional taxes in the budget.
