Islamabad: Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have reached an agreement on a new loan program. According to sources at the Finance Ministry, Pakistan will receive $3 billion in financial assistance under this agreement. The government has declared this agreement extremely important for the stability of the country’s economy. The Finance Minister stated that reform measures in accordance with IMF conditions are ongoing and the inflation rate has begun to decline. Economists say this agreement will help Pakistan’s economic recovery and promote foreign investment. The opposition, however, expressed reservations about the agreement, saying that the public should not be burdened further.
