ISLAMABAD: A major report by US magazine The National Interest has revealed that Pakistan’s military expertise, Saudi Arabia’s vast financial resources, and Turkiye’s advanced defence industry could combine to create a new regional defence hub that reshapes global power dynamics.
According to the report, the ‘Makkah Accord’ could evolve into a fully integrated defence system with significant diplomatic and military implications for the Middle East and South Asia. Analysts say this trilateral alliance would directly challenge existing global defence blocs.
The National Interest further states that Pakistan is fast emerging as a major player in the global defence market. The country now has the capacity to export complete land, naval, and air defence systems to international buyers.
The report credits Pakistan’s decades-long investment in military equipment assembly, maintenance, overhaul, and rebuilding programs.
