ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, Riyadh Air, officially launched its operations in Pakistan on August 14, coinciding with the country’s Independence Day.
The airline has commenced daily flights between Islamabad and Riyadh, marking a major expansion in air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
According to the airline, services from Lahore to Riyadh will begin on August 18, 2026.
The launch is expected to provide more travel options for thousands of Pakistani expatriates, pilgrims, and business travelers. Riyadh Air aims to position itself as a key player in the region with its modern fleet and premium services.
Aviation analysts say the entry of Riyadh Air will increase competition on the Pakistan-Saudi sector and potentially bring down fares during peak Hajj and Umrah seasons.
